By exploring new ways of moving, we also discover new ways of living.

Dance movement therapy is a holistic approach to human well-being. We guide people to expand awareness by exploring body language and movements. This process can help uncover hidden information within the body, such as emotional baggage or traumatic experiences.

In the past, daily life involved much more physical movement because it was more physically demanding than it is today. Our lifestyle is very different now. Most of us spend about seven hours a day sitting in front of computers, and at night, we sit in front of the TV.

People who are physically active in their daily lives, such as athletes, builders, performers, and farmers, can also become out of touch with their bodies. The nature of their work can be so performative that they gradually lose the connection between body, mind, and emotions.

Dance movement therapists focus on bringing people back to their bodies and offering space to nurture their well-being. Emotions are a form of energy. By moving our bodies, we can regulate and release these emotions. Because the way we move reflects how we navigate through life. By exploring new ways of moving, we also discover new ways of living.

Upcoming Experiences

Learning Body Language through Movement

23rd April to 14th May, Thursday 7- 8:30 pm Online

  • Connect Your Body Language // Build Confidence, Presence, and Authentic Connection

Led by movement therapist and performer Chara Yang, this 4-part series of 1.5-hour workshops offers a unique, embodied approach to nonverbal communication—helping you unlock the power of your body language.

Through playful and meaningful movement activities inspired by Rudolf Laban’s work, you’ll discover how to use movement qualities to build confidence, presence, and authentic expression.

This is not a dance class, and it’s not a traditional communication workshop. It’s an embodied exploration of how your body language, posture, movement, and energy shape how others perceive and connect with you.

    Highlight takeaway:

    • Carefully designed movement explorations (no dance experience needed)

    • Awareness of your unconscious body language patterns

    • Practical movement quality to understand body language

    • 4 parts learning journey

Part 1 - Connect to the Attention
Part 2 - Connect to the Vision
Part 3 - Connect to the Movement Qualities
Part 4 - Connect to your Body Language
